If you want to discover the Verdon Grand Canyon in a sporty way, it is inevitably in aqua trekking! Let yourself be rocked by the waves of the Verdon river to discover its immensity!
The gateway of the Verdon Grand Canyon is the most vertiginous part of the Grand Gorges.
The vertical cliffs rise to several hundred meters.
From this point, no more rafting or canoeing. The only way to discover the Verdon from the water is in aqua trekking (or floating). Initially, the guide briefs you on the position to adopt but also on the importance of following its path so as not to destroy the fragile ecosystem of the Verdon.
The course of the "Couloir Samson" is dotted with a few jumps (from 2 to 6 meters), rapids that will refresh your face but also and especially breathtaking views of the canyon, its vultures, its rocks and its cellars dug by water over the millennia.
The return is by a path (the famous "Martel Trail") following the Verdon river at times but which for the most part has the distinction of being a tunnel dug into the cliffs.
